The Andante Pro Series Tenor Drums are purpose-built for pipe band competition, delivering a rich, full tone balanced with responsive, crystalline clarity. Designed to complement the Pro Series Bass Drum, these tenor drums provide a cohesive and refined ensemble sound that supports modern, musically expressive arrangements.
 
The range comprises five different drum sizes, each constructed using a 4-ply Birch shell with 4-ply Birch reinforcing rings. This shell configuration is fitted with 8 mm hoops, lightweight die-cast aluminium claws, and slimline aluminium support bars. Together, these components maximise shell resonance while significantly reducing overall weight, ensuring both tonal performance and player comfort.
 
Tuning is precise and efficient, with between six and ten flush-fitting tension screws on each head, depending on drum size. This design allows even tension to be achieved across the entire head surface. Damping is fitted and tuned as standard, providing controlled resonance suitable for competitive performance environments.
 
Attention to detail extends to the hardware and usability. The chrome-plated carrying hook is integrated with the claw for a clean, streamlined appearance. All adjustments, dismantling, and reassembly are carried out using a 5 mm T-key, simplifying maintenance. Finished with durable oven-baked powder coating, the Pro Series Tenor Drums reflect Andante’s commitment to combining modern engineering with traditional craftsmanship.
