The Blair Bagpipes Audio Cutoff Sensor is a stereo-powered audio switch designed to seamlessly start and stop the Blair Digital Chanter. It features two main components—a pressure-sensitive pad and a compact control interface—that work together to allow natural, intuitive sound control while playing. When pressure is applied to the sensor pad, the interface opens the audio switch, letting the sound come through with precision and responsiveness.
The pressure pad attaches directly to your pipe bag using the supplied Velcro, and is most effective when placed on the arm-side of the bag for consistent activation. The control interface can be positioned anywhere convenient, typically towards the back of the bag. Sensitivity adjustments allow you to fine-tune how the sensor responds to your playing style, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.
The control interface comes fully pre-programmed and ready to use straight out of the box. It is powered by a CR2032 button lithium battery, which provides over 90 hours of runtime and can be easily replaced by the user when needed. Each set includes the control interface, pressure sensor pad, stereo cable, and Velcro strips for secure attachment.
A safety reminder: button batteries can be extremely hazardous to children. Always keep the device assembled and ensure the battery is never within reach of young children. Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to have been swallowed or inserted into the body.
