The R.G. Hardie PRC05P is a long plastic practice chanter, finished with a plain beaded nickel ferrule, imitation ivory sole, and Twist-Trap top.
 
The Twist-Trap system reduces moisture build-up on the reed, preventing cut-outs and allowing for longer, uninterrupted practice sessions. The top opens at the ferrule for easy access to the water trap, enabling removal of excess moisture. For best care, it should be dried after each use.
 
The chanter also features countersunk finger holes for comfort and comes complete with a reed.
