The R.G. Hardie PRC06P is a standard plastic practice chanter, finished with an imitation ivory ferrule, imitation ivory sole, and Twist-Trap top.
 
The Twist-Trap system prevents moisture from collecting on the reed, reducing the risk of cut-outs and allowing for longer, uninterrupted practice sessions. The top opens at the ferrule for easy access to the water trap, making it simple to remove excess moisture. For best care, it should be dried after each use.
 
The chanter also features countersunk finger holes for comfortable playability and comes complete with a reed.
