The R.G. Hardie PRC08P is a standard plastic practice chanter, finished with an engraved nickel ferrule, imitation ivory sole, and Twist-Trap top.
 
New for 2025, it is available with three engraving designs: Celtic, Thistle, and Renaissance.
 
The Twist-Trap top prevents moisture from collecting on the reed, reducing the chance of cut-out and allowing for longer, uninterrupted practice sessions. The top splits at the ferrule, providing access to the water trap for easy removal of excess moisture. For best care, we recommend drying it out after every session.
 
The chanter is fitted with countersunk finger holes for comfort and comes complete with a reed.
