Crafted from premium African Blackwood with instrument-grade boxwood and nickel fittings, the PH1HV departs from traditional combed and beaded turnings in favour of intricate laser engraving across both the wood and nickel components. The projecting mounts are based on an original 1910 Peter Henderson profile, offering an elegant and historically inspired appearance. The highly polished first-grade boxwood provides a beautiful contrast against the rich tones of the African Blackwood, resulting in a truly distinctive finish.
 
The exclusive Viking engraving has been developed using advanced design software and precision laser engraving techniques. The artwork incorporates the Vegvisir (Viking Compass) surrounded by traditional Viking knotwork, together with a custom-designed dragon motif inspired by the prow of a Viking longship. Runic inscriptions for Peter Henderson, Heritage, and Viking are carefully integrated into the design, alongside hidden bind runes symbolising courage, protection, music, friendship, and good luck, adding further depth and meaning to the instrument.

Each set is individually numbered, with its own unique serial number engraved on the bass stock, further highlighting the exclusivity and craftsmanship of this remarkable Heritage Viking Bagpipe set.
