All metalwork—including ferrules, slides, ring caps, and the mouthpiece slide—is hand-engraved in an intricate thistle pattern on genuine silver, giving the instrument a distinguished and traditional finish. The African Blackwood is fully combed and beaded, reflecting the highest level of craftsmanship.
 
A plastic lining system within the blowpipe and stock helps safeguard the internal wood against moisture-related wear, preserving the instrument's durability and tone.
