The patented TyFry® Ultimate Practice Tenor Drum Mallet is designed specifically for pipe band tenor drummers looking to develop their technique through table-top and pad practice. It uses an injection-moulded Acetal shaft, based on the same high-strength shaft design found in the TyFry® Ultimate Tenor Drum Mallet, providing a familiar feel and response when transitioning from practice to performance.
 
The enhanced head module is vacuum bonded for improved durability, while the refined balance and responsiveness help make the transition from table-top practice to tenor drum performance more seamless. A flattened butt-end improves flourish cord retention and rotation, supporting the development of controlled and consistent flourish technique.
 
The mallet comes with a high-quality, colour-coded flourish cord featuring a removable core, allowing the cord to be used either rounded or flattened according to the player's preference. Designed for indoor table-top practice, it is also suitable for use with most drum pads and encourages precise playing, clearer execution, dynamic control, and proper wrist and finger technique.
